Marcus Reed
The Friday-Night Arm
Reed takes the ball for every series opener, working a heavy fastball, a late-breaking slider and a changeup that keeps hitters honest. He has thrown two complete-game shutouts at Falconcrest Park.
Between starts he mentors academy pitchers on mechanics, arm care and the mental side of working ahead in the count.
